It's common for people to start looking for what they can remove from their lives when something seems out of place, like it's not working, or like life is overwhelming or hard.
What if adding to your life can actually assist you in generating the change you seek?
I know it seems counterintuitive, but adding to your life might be more natural than you think. See, you've been taught for most, if not all of your life to have boundaries, keep things under control and stay totally focused on one thing. Is that actually fun for you? Does that ever really allow your life to be easy?
Think of yourself as a super talented plate spinner. If you only have one plate in the air and it's moving with total grace you might get bored watching it. Or, if you're super magical, you might place your hyper focus on it and knock it out of its groove simply with your awareness. If you start spinning a bunch of plates in the air and you've got one really going, you can move to the next one and ramp it up.
And for your next trick? Start adding plates and projects and people and things to your life that you actually have fun "spinning." The more you practice and the more you add, the easier it will be to let the ones that aren't fun anymore crash in lieux of greater adventures.
But don't try this at home kids. Doing something different might change your life.
